Evening and Social Program

During the social program IAESTE Switzerland is showing you the chocolate side of our country:

FRI, 22nd January: Housewarming Party

We will welcome all delegates at the Lobby of the Novotel on Friday evening during an informal dinner. (Dress: Casual)

SAT, 23rd January: Traditional Welcome Dinner

On Saturday we will take you out to a very special traditional location. There you will be served typical swiss food like the famous fondue and other specialities and experience traditional Swiss entertainment (Dress: Smart Casual)

SUN, 24th January: International Evening

 

This is your chance to present your country and get to know typical food from all around the world. Don't forget to bring local specialities from your home country to share with the other participants. (Dress: Traditional dress of your home country)

TUE, 26th January: ETH Evening

The Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) is a founding member of IAESTE. ETH is inviting the conference participants to the institute's old main building for a presentation and for dinner. Afterwards, we will meet at the Bar Besame Mucho for an after-party. (Dress: Dark Suit)

WED, 27th January: Tour of Lucerne

Situated in the heart of Switzerland, lays probably its most famous town Luzern. It is only one hour's drive away from Zurich. Beded between mountains and at the breathtaking Lake of Luzern this city hosts not only many tourists but also serves as a platform for many international conferences or cultural events all through the year. It's picturesque old town right next to the lake invites to stroll at daytime or simply to relax at night with a glass of wine or a beer. We will drive to Lucerne and enjoy a guided tour through the city to learn about it's culture and history. (Dress: Casual and WARM!) 

   

  

THU, 28th January: Company Visits

You can choose from two different programs. Both visits will take us to one of the most important employers of IAESTE trainees in Switzerland.

1. Paul Scherrer Institute PSI, Villigen

2. Empa and Eawag, Dübendorf

Make up your mind quickly and register for one of the programs until Sunday 24 January: places are limited!

 

THU, 28th January: Farewell Dinner

For this special night we will take you to the top of Zurichs landmark mountain with an amazing view over our beautiful city. (Dress: Formal BUT: WARM AND GOOD SHOES!! We will have to walk the last part to the restaurant, uphill about 10 to 15 minutes, and it's wintertime and might be snowy...)
